I walked through the doors of Insight to Recovery a broken, helpless, and scared girl. Even so, I came in with extreme willingness. With an open heart and open mind, I knew I would do anything to "feel better." It was through Insight's program that I came out of a fog of hopelessness and into a light of happiness. If it wasn't for the incredible staff, therapists, and group leaders that would not have been possible. For me, the most important part of Insight's approach was the introduction to a Twelve Step program. Insight's placement on the importance of an outside aspect of recovery saved my life. Rather than keeping us in what is considered to be the normal "bubble" of a treatment center, we were strongly encouraged to branch out and make connections with outside support. Working the twelve steps alongside Insight's program has given me the chance of a second lifetime as a woman of honesty and integrity and because of that I am forever grateful.
