I just left Daf's detox and completed the program in 13 days. I know it seems long to detox but in my case it was perfect. It's the only free rehab that detoxes methadone but for a free place it is amazing the food is good they allow smoke breaks and allow you to do laundry. The only problem with DAF is some of the most unprofessional staff (not all bad half of them are amazing and genuinely care about your recovery) that are totally inconsistent and due to being under staffed are stretched thin. They percipatated my withdraw because the hatian nurse (who barley spoke English) didn't read the doctors order correctly saying not to administer suboxone protocol into withdraw symptoms were at 8 so denied them twice upon the third time the nurse said if I didn't take it then I wouldn't get it at all. After 15 minutes I went threw the worst withdraw in my life and kept asking to see the doctor and it wasn't taken serious I had to literally walk out and demand I see the doctor. After seeing the doctor and her reading what my med order was she snapped on all the nurses in the unit so bad they where apologizing to me for the remainder of my time there. That was the only problem I had there. DAF does a ten day suboxone taper that was amazing literally the most minimum withdrawal symptoms. I gave 3 stars based on rude staff (but addicts are manipulative and lie so they have to keep a guard up) communication which isn't there, lack of activities to keep the mind from craving and they should allow or make phone calls to your emergency contact to bring u things u need. DAF helped me big time if your a negative person this place isn't for you because being a selfish addict the minute you don't get your way your going to cry and make everyone misreable. If you need help and are trying to change your life DAF can help you also they don't just kick people out once your done you either go home, inpatient residence, halfway house , or they try and get you to another facility.
No 12 step classes. Yet the big book is uaed as reference to some classes. The tech's that are to assist you are not professional and some are rude. A few are helpful. The therapists are qualified but 3 out of 5 are really helpful. I had "THE BEST THERAPIST" there "Mr. Bernard" and overall a successful experience. I would recommend DAF. You'll get what you put into your recovery there!
My experience was wonderful. Please ignore all these bad reviews. This is the deal..they get you clean..at no charge! This place does not coddel you. This place is not a "spa rehab". If your serious about getting clean and your disastrous life back together and you have no insurance...get your addicted butt to DAF! Yes..the staff is tough...but that's because your an addict...they basically shake you back to planet Earth. If you need help..they will get you clean and your life back..Period! UPDATE: July 2018...I'm still sober! DAF was the best decision I ever made...you have to really want to get clean! I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. If you need help..please seek it out.

I recently completed the program and am glad that i was able to have the opportunity. I learned more about myself in the months I was there than I ever realized. I would like to add that like anything in life there are good and not so good aspects; but the goods definitely out shine the bad. If you are serious and will do anything needed to work on your recovery looking this organization
i just wanted to start off by saying this is an amazing place if your looking to get help for yourself or a family member. I was hesitant about starting this program but after talking to the front office receptionist she made me feel very welcome and relaxed about joining so i decided to drive from Miami all the way to Palm Beach. After starting the program I was very pleased with the staff and the way they really care about the clients of the program. Overall the nurses and techs made me feel comfortable and I honestly feel like they really care about the clients of the program. While joining they keep everyone fully involved and help with great treatment options. i feel like i learned a lot from the program and different methods on becoming a better person dealing with my addiction. The supervisor Carlton was very helpful and caring, Mr Emmanuel the case worker did an excellent job on explaining how to stay strong and keep a focus's mind.
